Kim Kardashian West shared a new out-of-this-world campaign for her 'Ultralight Beams' collection yesterday, releasing a series of glittering images via her KKW Beauty line's Instagram account.
The star posed naked, covered in glitter, in a mirrored room for a series of photographs to promote the new range of highlighters and lip glosses.
The stunning shoot quickly earned some comparisons from fans to a 2013 Beyoncé photoshoot for the cover of Flaunt magazine, with Instagram account Hollywood Unlocked sharing a side-by-side of the two images.
"It looks as if Kim was inspired by Beyonce's shoot," wrote the Daily Mail. "It's interesting that Kim would copy Beyonce because the two don't seem to be very good friends."
Meanwhile, BET claimed that the BeyHive were "livid" over the copied photo-shoot, though as one Beyoncé fan pointed out there has been little-to-no commentary on the similarities in the Twittersphere.
Now that the comparative articles claiming Beyoncé "invented" glitter have emerged, we're sure the photos will gain slightly more attention. For now, though, fans seem happy to just accept facts: both women look great, and it's not a competition.
Perhaps Kim was inspired by Beyoncé, we'll just have to stay tuned for her reaction to know the truth.
