Keira Knightley's glowing complexion may be enviable to us mere mortals, but for the stunning star her skin has been somewhat of a problem area in the past.
The 32-year-old actress opened up about her problematic skin in a recent interview with Vogue UK, revealing how she finally managed to clear up spots.
"I had really bad skin until I was 24 and up until then I did everything under the sun to it," the actress explained. "Then one day I thought I would try to leave it and that’s what suited it better."
For the actress, using less products on her skin worked out for the better.
"I try to leave my skin alone as much as possible," she says. "When I am at work I put my skin through a lot, so it makes me want to not do anything when left to my own devices. Maybe about three times a year I might get a facial, but otherwise it's literally as little as possible. I think it needs a break every now and again to be able to breathe."
So what products does Keira use when she's not filming a movie, or sitting front row at fashion week?
"In the mornings I use a moisturiser and then just concealer, never a foundation," she revealed. "I completely fail to keep myself on an even keel with my skincare when travelling, but I have just discovered rosehip oil, which a friend of mine recommended."
Seems simplicity really is key to the star's routine!
