However, in a new interview on KIIS 1065 on July 20, Perry explained that she's getting through her pregnancy and quarantine by focusing on her work and attempting to be a "mother on the move".
"I'm a very active woman, and during this time of COVID—and quite frankly an American revolution—I have been also putting out songs and heading towards putting out a record," she revealed. "I like not watching the hands of time roll by," she later explained. "I like being a mother on the move".
However, Perry does credit a few "blessings" that she appreciates a lot more since being in quarantine: less travelling and her own body.
"I'm really grateful for my body," she reveals. "I have so much respect for women—obviously, going through this process, you just get a whole new viewpoint."
"But everything is swollen," she added. "My hands are swollen, my feet are starting to swell. It's starting to get to that point."
And while 2020 has certainly dealt its fair share of disappointment, Perry and Bloom's bundle of joy will surely be the silver lining.
