American Idol judge Katy Perry and Pirates of the Caribbean actor Orlando Bloom have made their official red carpet debut as a couple at the Monte-Carlo Gala for the Global Ocean in Monaco.
The duo were first linked back in 2016 when they were spotted looking very friendly at a Golden Globes after-party, People reports. But the 33-year-old Roar singer and 41-year-old English actor split in 2017, with representatives for the stars telling People they’d be “taking respectful, loving space.”
However, it appears the exes remained friends and then earlier this year that friendship turned to rekindled love when the two were seen holidaying in the Maldives together over the New Year period.
A source then confirmed to People in April that the two were definitely back together telling the publication “Orlando and Katy are great. They are dating exclusively again and things seem more serious. It’s obvious that they both missed each other after their split. Their relationship seems stronger now.”
And now the Firework singer and Lord of the Rings star have ticked another ‘in a relationship’ box by making their couple status red carpet official. Stepping out at the Gala for the Global Ocean, Bloom, sporting a buzz cut, wore a suit sans tie and Perry wore a blush pink ruched gown with silver sequined sleeves.
Bloom was one of the chairs of the 2018 Gala, a fundraising event held on September 26 in Monte Carlo to support sustainable ocean initiatives.
