The Duchess of Cambridge is well and truly preparing for her future role as the Queen of England as she helped Queen Elizabeth II entertain leaders from around the world, including President Donald Trump, on Tuesday night at Buckingham Palace.
Kate Middleton was without Prince William, who is currently touring Kuwait and Oman, as she joined other members of the royal family for the reception - which marked 70 years of NATO.

Prince Charles and Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, were also in attendance. Prince Edward, Princess Anne, the Duke and Duchess of Gloucester and Princess Alexandra also helped welcome guests in the State Rooms of Buckingham Palace.
Notably absent from the reception is Prince Andrew who has stepped back from public life in the wake of his interview regarding his involvement with Jeffrey Epstein.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex also skipped the event, as it fell in their scheduled "family time" off from royal duties. The new parents previously revealed they would be taking six weeks off at the end of the year as a result of the intense scrutiny they've faced from the media.
