Of course, this isn't the first time Kate has used fashion to pay tribute to her late mother-in-law, the royal often wears Diana's own jewellery and accessories and opts for designers Diana favoured.
But Kate wasn't the only one to consider her look for the momentous day: Princess Charlotte added a personal touch to her outfit with the addition of a sequined unicorn keychain on her school bag.
