Kate Hudson has shared the first photo of her entire family of five - boyfriend Danny Fujikawa and their 8-month-old daughter Rani Rose plus Hudson’s son Bingham Hawn, 7, and Ryder Russell, 15 - on Instagram Tuesday.
“My loves of my life ☀️,” the actress captioned.
Hudson also shared an adorable snap of her kids in honour of Mother's Day earlier this year.
Hudson often gains praise for her open and raw approach to motherhood. Hudson's friend Erin Foster shared a few Instagram stories from an at-home barre workout with Kate earlier this year, and at one point, Kate needed to nurse her newborn daughter Rani. "And, we’re pausing for a breastfeed," Erin says, as the camera pans over to a smiling Kate. But, what's incredible is that instead of stopping her workout to finish things up, Kate went back into the workout while breastfeeding.
"Motherhood doesn’t slow us down," Erin wrote over another video of Kate doing leg lifts, lunges, and more while nursing.
Earlier this month, Kate shared that she had planned to raise her daughter with a 'genderless approach.' The 39-year-old actress revealed in an interview with AOL that she has embraced the approach with three-month-old Rani, as well as her two sons from previous relationships: Bingham Hawn, 7, and Ryder Russell, 15.
“[Having a daughter] doesn’t really change my approach, but there’s definitely a difference,” she told the outlet. “I think you just raise your kids individually regardless, like a genderless [approach]. We still don’t know what she’s going to identify as.”
“I will say that, right now, she is incredibly feminine in her energy, her sounds and her way,” Hudson explained. “It’s very different from the boys, and it’s really fun to actually want to buy kids’ clothes.”
“With the boys, it was just onesies…actually, I did pretty good with the boys,” she said. “But with her, it’s a whole other ball game. There’s some stuff that I’m like, ‘I can’t do that to her, because it’s so over-the-top'."
