Whether it's the way they hold their child while battling blinding flashes from the paparazzi, or whether or not they kiss their kids on the lips, celebrities are shamed for their parenting ability from the second their pregnancy is announced. Popular targets of this type of online abuse include Victoria Beckham, Chrissy Teigen, Kim Kardashian West and, now, Jessica Simpson.
The singer has been targeted online by trolls for her decision to let her naturally-blonde daughter rock brunette hair for Halloween. 5-year-old Max was clearly keen to dress up as Belle from Beauty And The Beast this year, and looked super excited about her costume in a photo shared by mum Jess...
However, Jess's Instagram was quickly flooded with nasty comments slamming her decision to "dye" her daughter's hair. It seems pretty clear to us that, given the streakiness of the brown colour, it was some sort of semi-permanent colouring or coloured hair spray.
Regardless of how they achieved the semi-permanent colour, it's quite ridiculous that people think they have the right to tell other's how to parent. Max and Jess both appear to have enjoyed their day together, so what else matters?
