It's the news Jennifer Aniston fans around the globe have waited forever to hear: our favourite girl is starring as a mean mum in a new music-driven teen comedy.
The actress is set to star in the independent teen flick Dumplin, directed by Anne Fletcher (The Proposal, 27 Dresses) and based on the 2015 YA novel by Julie Murphy.
Dumplin tells the story of a confident plus-sized teen girl named Willowdean, who has been nicknamed 'Dumplin' by her mother. After taking a job at a fast-food joint, Dumplin meets a jock named Bo who expresses interest in dating her. Unsure how people would react to them as a couple, her confidence in herself begins to waver, so she decides to enter a beauty pageant along with a bunch of other 'misfits.'
Our fave girl Jen is going to star as Dumplin's mother Rosie, a former beauty pageant queen who now runs the local Texas pageant, Miss Teen Blue Bonnet. We're envisioning lots of tulle, glitter and a southern attitude to rival anything we've seen on Toddlers In Tiaras.
