Jenna Dewan Tatum wants to make something very clear – she doesn't do diets.
“I’m not a fan of dieting, which is why I choose to eat healthy most of the time," the actress told PEOPLE. "I keep it in balance, so I don’t have to crash diet. When I want to splurge I allow myself and don’t beat myself up — I just make a plan to eat extra healthy the next day or work out.”
The 36-year-old who sticks to plant-based foods, has shared what she'll eat in a typical day.
Dewan Tatum kicks off the day with a Kimberly Snyder’s Glowing Green smoothie that consists of spinach, romaine lettuce, water, celery, apple, pear, banana, lemon juice, cilantro and parsley.
Lunch is typically quinoa tabouli with hummus and a side salad. She also adds that she makes her own salad dressing by mixing lemon juice, olive oil, salt and pepper.
For an afternoon snack, the mother-of-one opts for a fruit smoothie with apple, banana, raspberries, blueberries and water.
And finally for dinner, she'll have a quinoa bowl with black beans, chopped tomatoes, roasted squash, zucchini, red peppers, avocado, corn, salsa, tortilla strips, lime, vegan chipotle sauce, salt and pepper.
While this all might sound too 'clean', Dewan Tatum admits that she is a lover of "salty, savoury food." Her favourite treat? French fries!
