Australian actress Margot Robbie is said to be in talks with Quentin Tarantino over a fascinating new film. As yet untitled, the movie will explore the horrific death of actress Sharon Tate (with whom Margot Robbie shares a striking resemblance), who was murdered by the Manson family cult in 1969.
Deadline reports that Tarantino has met with Robbie about the role of Sharon Tate, while Hollywood Reporter has spoken to sources who say that Jennifer Lawrence is also in the running to play Tate or a cult member.
Brad Pitt and Samuel L. Jackson are the two male stars being linked to the movie, which is due to begin filming next year.
Sharon Tate, who was married to acclaimed director Roman Polanski, was eight months pregnant when she was brutally killed by members of the Manson cult, along with four other people inside her LA home.
Cult leader Charles Manson and several other members are still serving their life sentences in US prison.
