Speaking of the public interest her love life, Shayk told Harper's BAZAAR US that she understands why people want to know what's going on - “I think it's just human beings: if you cannot have it, you want to have it," she said. "There's a curtain there, you want to open the curtain. It's curiosity I guess.”
Shayk, who is notoriously private about her personal life, also opened up about marriage - she and Cooper were rumoured to be engaged but never tied the knot. “Everyone looks at it differently,” she said. “Do I believe in marriage? Yes, of course. I'm not the kind of person who is against it.”
She also opened up about being a mother and how she doesn't think women should have to change who they are or how they dress to fit some sort of societal norm or expectation. “Tell me one reason why, just because you're a mother, you need to wear a longer skirt," she said. "No! I don't believe in that. I really don't."
“How is it that people think of this idea? Why should you have to change who you are and how you feel just because you become a mother? I'm like, tell me why. Tell me one reason! I don't believe in that. I don't understand why.”
As far as Shayk and Cooper's relationship goes now, co-parenting their daughter is now the top priority. "They love their little girl dearly and that's not going to change no matter what," a source told E! News. "They want what's least disruptive for their baby."
