On whether his album is about a break up, Styles said that yes, the album is about what he was going through at the time, noting that the sad parts are some of the saddest times he's ever had and the happy parts are some of the happiest.

So, naturally, when the singer was a guest on the Ellen DeGeneres Show, the comedian asked him about his famous supermodel ex.

The best part about all of the whole thing? Ellen literally went on holiday with Styles and Jenner when those infamous yacht pics of them kissing surfaced in 2017. She was on the yacht watching firsthand! Who knows why, but she was. Something that makes the below conversation so much funnier.

"So when you hosted for James Corden, your guests were Tracee Ellis Ross and Kendall Jenner. And you and Kendall are really good friends now, right?" DeGeneres asked.
"Yeah, we’ve been friends for um, a while now, yeah. Like several years," Styles replied.
"That’s sweet that y’all are really good friends," DeGeneres said.
"Yeah," Styles replied.
"Yeah," DeGeneres echoed and before she got a chance to change the subject, Styles piped up again.
"Yeah," Styles said again, then laughed slightly and said, "I think so, yeah."
"Yeah," DeGeneres said back, pausing.
"Right," Styles said.
"Right," DeGeneres said. "Yeah."
"Okay," Harry said, taking a sip of his drink.
