Hamish Blake Reveals The Reason He's Afraid To Get Close To Newborn Daughter Rudy
Hamish and Zoë Foster Blake welcomed a tiny bundle of joy by the name of Rudy Hazel Blake into the world last week.
While the small family have been busy celebrating the arrival of a younger sister for Sonny, Hamish has had to keep his distance from his newborn.
The radio host stopped by Carrie Bickmore and Tommy Little's show for a quick catch up, where he revealed he's been busy recovering from a nasty virus that was passed on to him by his son.
"Since Rudy’s been born ... She’s lovely, and I enjoy looking at her from a distance or behind a surgical mask, but you’re right now talking to a guy with pink eye and a lot of stuff going on," he said.
"Everyone’s saying ‘Enjoy the baby bubble, enjoy the baby bubble’ — I’m in a Hazmat bubble! I have to go through the full ebola washdown before I can get near my child."
Hamish also happily announced that both mother and baby are doing well, and he couldn’t have been more proud for his wife.
“Champion. Champion birth. Inspirational. Ultimate mum,” he said.
