Gigi Hadid will not stand for body shaming of any kind. The 22-year-old model took to Twitter following a hectic day at New York fashion week, (after walking for Jeremy Scott and Bottega Veneta) to defend her physique following criticism of her "too skinny" frame.
Explaining that her fluctuating weight is the result of a condition called Hashimoto’s disease which affects the thyroid gland and that medication and lifestyle can have a huge impact on her appearance.
"For those of you so determined to come up w why my body has changed over the years, you may not know that when I started @ 17 I was not yet diagnosed w/Hashimoto’s disease," the former Victoria's Secret model revealed in a series of posts.

"I will not further explain the way my body looks, just as anyone, with a body type that doesn't suit your “beauty” expectation, shouldn't have to. Not to judge others, but drugs are not my thing, stop putting me in that box just because u dont understand the way my body has matured," Gigi continued.
