Gigi Hadid is one of the world's most famous women, but despite the millions of headlines and her regular Insta updates, there's still a lot you might not know about the eldest Hadid sister. Bursting into the modelling world at the age of two for Guess, Gigi has gone on to walk some of the world's most prestigious runways and appear on the cover of the worlds glossiest magazines - and it doesn't look like she plans on slowing down anytime soon.
Born in Los Angeles to real estate developer Mohamed Hadid and former model Yolanda Hadid, Gigi is of Palestinian and Dutch descent and has two younger siblings, a sister Bella Hadid, and a brother Anwar. She also has two older, paternal half-sisters, Marielle and Alana Hadid.
Here are 11 things you may not have known about Gigi.

She regularly takes time off social media
While Gigi boasts over 47 million Instagram followers, she regularly takes time off the app to focus on her mental wellbeing. "I'm taking a month off, actually, during New Years," she said last year. "I'm not deleting my account, I'm just taking the apps off my phone. It's empowering, not just for people in the spotlight, for everyone. At the end of the day, I'm choosing what I'm showing you. A lot of the world feels so entitled to other peoples' lives, which is so crazy. I'm going to take a break when I feel like it, and when I come back and share it with you, if you want to be supportive and still follow me, that's great. But, if you're going to be upset that I need to be human for a month, than maybe I don't want your follow anyway."
She has an odd way of dealing with stress
Working as much as Gigi does, you better believe she's come up with some productive ways to de-stress. One of those? Screaming. "Literally, screaming into a pillow helps. One time I was on set for a beach shoot, and my mom said 'go scream into the ocean. It relieves the tension'."
