Georgia Love Addresses Bachelorette Rumours
Last night, former Bachelorette Georgia Love publically addressed the rumours that this year's Bachelorette Sophie Monk is going on the show for fame, rather than to look for love.
While a guest on radio station 101.9's Schmunday Show, a listener called to talk about Monk, saying: "[The guys] going onto the show this year know that A) everyone knows who Sophie Monk is, B) she’s a celebrity and C) she might not really, really be there to find a husband."
Georgia quickly jumped to Sophie's defence, "I truly believe that Sophie does want to find someone, I really do believe that," she started.
The show's host, Jamila Rizvi, then pointed out, "She’s already on TV all the time."
"Also [Monk] has been unlucky in love, very publicly," Georgia continued. "Why can't she have the same go [as everyone else]?"
"I am a hopeless romantic," she said.
Though she believes Sophie is going on the show for the right reasons, Georgia did say this year's season would probably be a little different to the others.
"I think it's going to be an incredibly different season to ever before."
"I certainly had a lot of guys who very obviously not there [for the right reasons], and couldn't care less that I was part of the show."
"But I think it's going to be entertaining, that's the only thing I'm sure of," she finished.
