Georgia Fowler is no stranger to the catwalk.
The New Zealand-born model's career started when she was just sixteen. Balmain, Elie Saab, Off-White, Topshop, and Emilia Wickstead are among the brands that have asked her to walk. But it's her gig as a Victoria's Secret model that propelled her to supermodel status.
With a high-profile career comes increased attention to her life away from the cameras. Georgia's believed to be dating Nick Jonas and it's pop culture folk lore that Harry Styles' song, Kiwi is about her.
InStyle Australia chats to the 25-year-old as she prepares to storm the Victoria's Secret runway for a second time. Here, Georgia reveals her penchant for avocados and almond cappuccinos, plus how she really gets those abs...
InStyle: What's your preparation like in the lead up to the show?
Georgia Fowler: We've had four months since the casting so it's been a long time to prepare. Training has definitely been amped up and I'm eating super healthy! I'm mentally preparing for it too, it's so exciting because it's the second time around and I have so many friends doing it with me too.
What's your daily workout regimen?
I like to mix it up when I'm in the gym so I don't get bored and keep the body guessing. My favourite way to train and what gives me the best results is strength training. I know a lot of women are afraid of building muscle. I do strength training with a personal trainer (ochosystem) who is amazing, and he has a whole lifestyle approach to training. I'll also mix in a barre class, pilates, yoga, boxing and a cardio workout when I can. Everyday is something different!
What's your day on a plate?
I try to keep it mostly fruit and vegetables, a little bit of protein and lots of good fats. I love an avocado a day or lots of nuts and I think that's really good for the skin. I don't eat dairy and I limit grains especially in the lead-up to the show. It's just about balance and enjoying a fun-size chocolate bar when you need it so you never feel deprived.
Do Victoria's Secret models drink coffee?
I do! I'm trying to drink less at the moment but when you never know what time zone you're in, you need it. My usual order changes because coffee is so much better here in Australia compared to the States. If I'm in Australia it's a 3/4 almond cappuccino with chocolate sprinkles and preferably a white marshmallow.
What's your daily beauty regimen?
I always take my makeup off after a shoot with Bioderma ($20.99, priceline.com.au) as it's super gentle on my skin. I like to keep it simple with a rose hip face oil and then I'll use a really deep moisturiser like La Mer ($242, davidjones.com.au).
I think nourishment from within is so important. I find that if I'm hydrated and having lots of good fats like salmon and avocado it makes all the difference to my overall complexion.
You have amazing hair, what's your secret to effortless volume?
Thank you! It's kind of luck of the draw when I wake-up. It's pretty curly so I just put a moisturising cream in it and let it air dry naturally.
What's your everyday uniform?
Baggy jeans and a tee shirt and jumper, but lately my everyday uniform is workout gear.
What's something people don't know about the show?
When we do the fittings we're on our own, so we don't even know what the other girls will be wearing before the actual day of the show! They also cover up the looks so you really have no idea. It's all secret squirrel.
The 2017 Victoria's Secret fashion show will be held in Shanghai on Monday, November 20.
