Of all the shows on television right now, Game of Thrones is perhaps the most epic with its otherworldly vibes, its vast setting and don't even get us started on the *intense* battles.
And, as major drama is about to go down in season eight, it only stands to reason that the producers are considering extending the episode lengths to be as long as a movie!
The show's sound designer Paula Fairfield appeared at Game Of Thrones convention 'Con of Thrones' over the weekend and announced that that this season's finale will be the show's longest episode so far at 82 minutes, and that showrunners are considering making all the episodes feature-length.
In a recent interview Kit Harrington explained that this season will be more intense than ever before.
"A lot of stuff collides and happens much quicker than you're used to seeing on Thrones," he told Entertainment Weekly with Nikolaj Coster-Waldau adding that: "A lot of things that normally take a season now take one episode."
So the extension of the episodes makes complete and total sense, and we are bloody here for it (no death puns intended).
