Laneway Festival is back for another year, bringing with it all our favourite bands — and the chance for plenty of great street style.
Although it’s no Splendour In The Grass, Laneway is becoming a breeding ground for chic, festival-ready outfits. Whether you’re going for a boho sort of vibe, or something a little more sophisticated, the weekend is your oyster.
Known for substituting brands in favour of vintage and big logos for artistic touches, you won’t be seeing many flower crowns at Laneway. Instead, opt for something a little fresher and quirkier. Bumbags will be in full swing, but go for a vintage top handle you can sling around your wrist when dancing instead. Oversized jeans, cargo pants and metallic mini skirts are a fun way to embrace upcoming autumn trends, but offset the inevitable heat with a one-shouldered singlet or band T-shirt.
Bucket hats are everywhere at Copenhagen fashion week (a known meeting point for cool girls!), so pair yours with overalls or tie die for a throwback take on festival-wear. Make sure to choose comfortable and appropriate footwear — you don’t want to get stuck in the mud, literally. Chunky sneakers or stompy boots will be your savior, so channel the likes of Bella Hadid and Kendall Jenner and pair yours with white tube socks.
Below, we’ve rounded up plenty of inspiration to get you started. Happy Laneway!
