London-based global fashion search platform Lyst has just revealed 2018’s top fashion influencers. Connecting 80 million shoppers with leading fashion designers each year, the platform that has revolutionised the way we shop orchestrated a mammoth effort to scope out the trends that make us tick, the brands we follow religiously, and the celeb influencers whose wardrobes we aspire to.
Lyst tracked over 100 million searches, views and mentions, and even combed through all of our (sometimes admittedly desperate) 1am queries on the perfect bucket bag/chunky sneaker/checked blazer to come up with the goods.
Here, we take a look at Lyst’s top three ultra-influencers and their big fashion moments.
1. Kylie Jenner
The 21-year-old beauty mogul set to become the world’s youngest self-made billionaire ranks in at numero uno. According to Lyst, Kylie has single-handedly driven more than two million searches this year alone. Remember Kylie’s 80s-inspired pink Dundas creation she rocked for her 21st this year? In the 48 hours after the first images of the satin-clad Jenner surfaced, searches for ‘pink dresses’ increased by 107%.

2. Kim Kardashian
Fervent lover of the form-fitting dress and jumpsuit, Kylie’s big sis Kim Kardashian has ranked in at number two. Kim’s iconic wardrobe transformation has included barely-there leggings, a hearty dose of latex and swoon-worthy over-the-knee suede boots that became winter 2018’s must-have item.
Kim’s signature bombshell figure shines in a daring see-through, striped dress at the E! People’s Choice Awards.

Kim attends the Louis Vuitton Menswear Spring/Summer 2019 show in the label’s bold pocketed outfit.
3. Meghan Markle
The Duchess of Sussex’s modern, elegant style has landed her fittingly in third position. While it is well-known that Meghan’s mere act of wearing a designer garment renders a sharp uplift in sales, we didn’t realise the extent of her global reign – Lyst has revealed that brands worn by the American style-icon experience a +200% increase in search demand in the week following.
