The uncanny resemblance doesn't stop there however, as Corrin also sports the mother-of-two's iconic '80s blowout and vivid blue eye make-up.
In the photographs, Corrin is pictured waving to crowds with camera-bearing paparazzi swarming the entrance of the charity gala held in Princess Diana's honour.
The following day, the late royal also visited the Aids unit at Harlem Hospital and toy store, FAO Schwarz.
Though it's not the first time we've seen Corrin in the role of Princess Diana ahead of season four.
So far, we have seen her pay reference to the royal arriving at the Barnado's Champion Children Awards, which Diana famously attended throughout the '80s and '90s.
This was shortly after Corrin joined Josh O'Connor, who plays Prince Charles in the Netflix series, to shoot the former couple's 1983 royal tour of Australia in Spain.
Princess Diana's arrival is what The Crown fans have been waiting for with the upcoming season set to focus upon Charles' tumultuous love life.
Speaking about taking on the iconic role, Corrin said in a statement released by Netflix: "Beyond excited and honoured to be joining The Crown for its fourth season."
"I have been glued to the show since the first episode and to think I'm now joining this incredibly talented acting family is just surreal. Princess Diana was an icon, and her effect on the world remains profound and inspiring," she continued. "To be given the chance to explore her through Peter Morgan's writing is the most exceptional opportunity, and I will strive to do her justice!"
