Brace yourselves, Ginger is coming! Couldn't resist, sorry about it.
As you might be aware, Ed Sheeran is joining the long list of celebrities to make a cameo in the iconic HBO series Game Of Thrones. The singer was asked to appear on the show because of his #1 fan and lead star Maisie Williams (Arya Stark).
Series creators David Benioff and D.B. Weiss confirmed that Ed would be making a cameo earlier this year, revealing they have been trying to make it happen for some time now.
Little was known about the role Ed would play, until he appeared on The Hits Radio and spilled the details.
His character will score around five minutes of screen time which, as we know, is quite a big deal in the GOT world. Entire families have been slaughtered in less time, but let's not get into that #RIPRobStark.
The scene obviously features Arya, who hears Ed sing and remarks, “Oh, that’s a nice song.”
It might not sound like much, but Ed's character will score around five minutes of screen time which, as we know, is quite a big deal in the GOT world. Entire families have been slaughtered in less time, but let's not get into that #RIPRobStark. We're sure the tune will be filled with meaning and some kind of poignant message that sets the tone of the episode. Or something.
Unlike the countless other important characters whose lives were taken, Ed's random one-off character is reportedly set to survive the terrifying world of Westeros.
“I do know which role I’m going to play,” he said in an interview earlier this month. “I don’t die in it, I don’t die.”
Whatever you say, Ed, but we'd be sleeping with one eye open.
