The Kensington couple travels a lot for work, so they need a stay-at-home pet sitter to take care of their dogs full-time. They'll put you up in their plush six-storey townhouse with room and board included in the annual salary. And you only have to work Monday to Friday, with occasional weekends.
The catch? You’ll have to do some of the housekeeping, too, but hey, every job has its downfalls.
The job description includes taking Milo and Otis for morning and evening walks, managing all dog appointments, insurances and provisioning, as well as liaising with the regular dog walker (yep, you don’t even have to do all the work alone). Daily housekeeping, laundry as required, food shopping and errands are also part of the package deal.
You’ll also be required to maintain the ‘general management of the property’, which includes welcoming guests and taking calls, and occasionally cooking light evening meals for a vegan.
So who are they looking for? Well, you need to be ‘fit and active’ and ‘hard-working and trustworthy’. Prior experience in looking after dogs is ‘essential’, and the ideal candidate will also have good housekeeping experience.
The job is being advertised by Silver Swan Recruitment, who is a luxury domestic staffing agency. Other jobs currently being advertised by the agency include a live-in housekeeping couple to look after a Leicestershire country manor, a couple to manage a private property in Southern Ibiza and an experienced cook to help a couple with ‘meal prep and fridge filling’ in West London.
