Fans of David Beckham will be familiar with the avenue that made him famous. You know, that thing where a bunch of guys in matching outfits kick a ball around a pitch?
So it might come as a surprise to some that the football star is taking on acting in a new Guy Ritchie flick. Guy, the creator of such hits as Snatch and RocknRolla, is close friends with David and is allowing him to make a small cameo appearance in his new film King Arthur: Legend Of The Sword.
The sportstar will be making a small cameo as a disgruntled knight who is unable to pull Excalibur from the stone, and he underwent quite the transformation in hair and makeup to achieve his angry new look. Throbbing purple veins, dramatic facial scars, a bigger nose and some seriously dirty teeth seem to be the order of the day in this snap David shared from the set.
"Rough day at the office," he wrote on Instagram.
It's not the first time Guy has given his pal a shot on the big screen. David previously made a small appearance as a clumsy film technician in the Cold War action flick The Man From U.N.C.L.E.
David's latest role is listed as Blackleg Leader on IMDB.com, and he'll be joining an all-star cast for his cameo. Charlie Hunnam is leading the film as King Arthur, Jude Law stars as the villainous Vortigern, and Eric Bana is Uther Pendragon. Other major stars listed on IMDB include Djimon Hounsou, Poppy Delevingne and rising British star Millie Brady.
The new King Arthur, which premieres in May 2017, features a killer soundtrack, intense fight scenes and that signature Guy Ritchie cinematography. Check it out:
