David Beckham Defends Kissing Daughter Harper On The Lips
David Beckham has rightly defended his family against online criticism for kissing on the lips. Both he and his wife Victoria Beckham have been called out by some trolls online for sharing images of themselves kissing daughter Harper on the lips.
If people want to kiss their children on the lips, they should! If people don't want to kiss their children on the lips, they shouldn't! And that's the end of it. Unfortunately, trolls exist and the family have been subject to cruel and disturbing comments from their fans on social media.
The issue came up during a recent Facebook Live chat, and David clearly felt he had to defend himself (which he shouldn't have to at all).
"I got actually criticized for kissing my daughter on the lips the other day. I kiss all my kids on the lips," he said.
The former footballer went on to reveal that he still kisses everyone except for Brooklyn on the lips, "he might find that a little bit strange," David joked.
“It’s how I was brought up, and it’s how we are with our children,” he continued. “We want to show our kids love and we protect them, look after them, and support them, and we’re very affectionate with them.”
Victoria and David's children are all reported to be well-rounded children who lead 'normal' lives, and have been known to work hard from a young age. Brooklyn worked his first job in a cafe at 14 and 12-year-old Cruz recently released a single to raise money for charity- yes he had his parent's status to help get it started, but it's rather philanthropic for a young child, don't you think?
Above all else, they seem to have a lot of love and admiration for their parents. Seems like a pretty wonderful mum and dad to us!
