So, why did Stotty leave The Bachelorette?
While living in the mansion, Ciarran received word that his beloved Nan had passed away while he was filming the show. Following this devastating news, Ciarran made an emotional decision to leave the show.
In a heartfelt Instagram post, Cirran revealed:
"This was by far the hardest decision I had to make on here. Knowing that I had an amazing connection with Angie and then having to tell her I had to leave was just gut wrenching. She is an amazing woman and is full of love to give and can never wipe that big smile off her face! Thank you for letting me be apart of this experience on your quest (not journey) to find a man you can hopefully say 'I love you' too. I wish Angie all the best for the rest of the show and now all the lads in there finally have a chance now I’m not longer in the race haha! Big love to you all!"
In fact, Ciarran was so upset by the events that he told TV Week, "I haven't watched it back. I guess I'll have to work up the courage to watch last night's episode."
But, hopefully this won't be the last we'll see of the cheeky Brit. Rumours have been circulating that Ciarran could be chosen as 2020's Bachelor, and it seems he'd be open to the opportunity.
"Yeah I've heard that Bachelor 2020 rumour going around a bit," he spills. "I mean if that happens I'd definitely do it!"
