After being named People's Sexiest Man Alive for 2019, something he was quickly trolled about by Chrissy Teigen, John Legend hosted the Ellen DeGeneres Show during which he was surprised by his hilarious wife.

“I’m still, believe it or not, the Sexiest Man Alive,” John jokingly started the segment. “Is it me or did I even get sexier during the break? I don’t know. Anyway, I want to thank the audience for singing ‘All of Me.’ I wrote that song about my wife, Chrissy, and she was in the music video.”
“Here’s an interesting fact, though. The record company originally wanted someone else to be my love interest in the video,” he added, before playing an edited version of the music video with Ellen DeGeneres subbed in for Chrissy.
“Don’t tell Chrissy guys, she’d be very jealous of Ellen,” John said, before Chrissy popped out of the table beside him screaming.
“That was the hardest thing I’ve ever done,” Chrissy said as she collapsed on the side of the box. “I didn’t mean to swear, I’m so sorry. Should we do it again?” she said, before her husband lifted her out of the box.
Chrissy then reminded John of a fan's backhanded compliement on Twitter that morning, which read: “It doesn’t take good looks to be sexy.”
“They prove that even very average looking people can be sexy,” John replied.
