Chrissy Teigen and John Legend welcomed their beautiful daughter, Luna Simone Stephens, into the world in 2016 via IVF.
The supermodel and her award-winning musician husband have been vocal about their fertility struggles, often using their position in the spotlight to bring attention to the stigma around difficult pregnancies, IVF and even postpartum depression.
As the October cover-star of our sister publication InStyle, Chrissy has opened about her experience and her desire for a large family. The star revealed that she and John will be trying for another baby using IVF, using her last remaining embryo.
Chrissy also expressed regret over the "small" amount of embryos she had extracted, sayig she "wished" she had taken more eggs during her round of fertility treatments a few tears ago. The couple started with roughly 20 embryos, and were left with just three after narrowing them down to the ones that "you know are going to be good for your body."
"The first little girl didn't work, and then the second is Luna,” she told InStyle of the three healthy and usable embryos she had extracted. The third is the one they will transfer to her womb in the coming months.
Chrissy also gushed about her husband in the interview, saying: "I’m much luckier to have John’s personality in my life than he is to have mine. He is insanely patient and such a dork, and he loves seeing me happy, even if that means watching The Real Housewives of Dallas with me for two and a half hours. I mean, I don’t care about half the s— he’s doing either. But there’s a balance. If he’s watching MSNBC and is excited about something, then I’ve got to be in that realm."
We're wishing Chrissy and John the best of luck as they try to grow their family.
