But perhaps there is more to the story, as Chelsie has since made a few swipes at her ex-boyfriend that suggest things may not have ended on good terms.
Four days after the breakup announcement, she shared a photo with her The Bachelor co-stars Nichole Wood, Helena Sauzier and Sogand Mohtat, which was taken during one of their group dates on the show. In the caption, Chelsie wrote: "Take the good with the bad."
The comment seems to hint that her friendships with the girls were the “good” to come out of the show, while perhaps Matt was the “bad”...
This isn't the first clue that the breakup wasn’t as civil as we originally believed. Another Bachie co-star, Rachael Arahill, took a dig at Matt on social media. When a fan commented on Chelsie’s breakup announcement, saying “omg no, I wanna know why”, Rachael jumped in and replied, “so does Chelsie”. The fan responded, “has he dumped her without letting her know why?”, to which Rachael simply messaged back with the shrugging emoji.
Chelsie’s own Instagram caption may have had a clue in it, too. She ended her caption with “Please remember to be kind online as you don’t know what is going on behind the screen.”
