The CW’s pilot for the reboot of Charmed has finally found its third sister.
Madeleine Mantock, star of The Tomorrow People and Into The Badlands, has been cast as the third and oldest sister, Macy. Described as "practical" and "driven," her character's life as a geneticist is blown apart when she discovers the world of the supernatural.
Mantock joins Melonie Diaz (Fruitvale Station) and Sarah Jeffery (Shades Of Blue, Be Somebody) as the two younger sisters: Mel and Maddison.
Mel is described as an "activist and a lesbian," who is "passionate and outspoken."
Meanwhile Madison is a college freshman and sorority girl who thinks that being an awesome, supernatural witch can be inconvenient at times.
The original Charmed was filmed in the 90s, but set in the 70s, however the re-boot will be set in the present day.
Variety report that Jennie Urman, creator of The CW’s Jane the Virgin will executive produce, along with Jane The Virgin writers Jessica O’Toole and Amy Rardin also writing and executive producing. Considering how well these ladies did with crafting JTV, we can't wait to see what they do with our beloved Charmed.
