Imagine an off-duty Bridgett Bardot strolling though Saint Tropez in the '70s and that is precisely how Karl Lagerfeld interpreted beachy glam for Chanel’s resort 2019 show.
The French fashion house transformed the Grand Palais at Paris Fashion Week into an idyllic beach scene complete with white sands, rolling waves and handsome lifeguards.
Backstage hairstylist Sam McKnight declared: “the beach came to Chanel this morning!”
“It’s loose but luxurious beach hair,” he told Vogue of the model’s textured waves. “The Chanel girl always looks after her hair, but she never over-styles it,” explains McKnight securing many of the styles with a chic pearl hairclip with interlocking Cs.
Make-up artist Lucia Pica, used the brand's vibrant matte lip shade (launching in 2019) to make the perfect statement while still compliementing the many, many hair acessories.
