Haute couture fashion week is currently underway in the French capital, from head-turning celebrity sightings to stunning model moments on the runway, it's little wonder that all eyes are on Paris right now.
In what is rumoured to be his last show for the iconic fashion house, Karl Lagerfeld went back to basics for his fall 2018 collection. The 84-year-old turned the Grand Palais into a modern shopping promenade. The catwalk was a pavement lined with book stalls and various members of the photogenic Kroenig family lined the sidewalk, one of whom is Lagerfeld’s godson, all wearing grey Chanel merch-style sweaters.
While sparkling boots, and covetable tweed two-pieces are sure to become classics, the moment everyone will be talking about is Karl's final look. The second black bride in Chanel history walk the runway. (Alex Wek previously stole the show as Chanel's bride during the fall 2004 couture show wearing a feather cape).
