The improved site will launch on Tuesday in France, and will be rolled out across the rest of Europe and the United States in 2018, before reaching Japan in 2019. The site will remain aesthetically the same, and will feature Céline ready-to-wear, leather goods, accessories, jewellery and shoes.
“E-commerce is launching as planned with ambitious business objectives, but also as a key tool to increase visibility, recruit new clients and provide a full service to our clients who are looking for a global experience, mixing digital and physical touchpoints,” a Céline spokesperson told WWD.
The brand also shared the news with fans on social media today in their typical elegant, streamlined fashion... of course.
"New celine.com now online," they simply captioned a dreamy video that plastered their minimal logo across a a series of watercolour hues.
No word yet on when the e-commerce site will land down under, though there is still exciting news for Céline lovers in Australia: The brand introduced a series of new additions to the leathergoods family today, and you can already shop the pieces!
The Spring 2018 Big Bag - which is available in different sizes and a variety of colours - features signature staples including expanded gussets, an oversized zip and classic belt. And, much to our excitement, the Big Bag family has launched in both Sydney (02 9232 7051) and Melbourne (03 9530 4300) stores.
A new online store and a new line of bags? All we have to say is oui, oui!
