6 Celebrity-Approved Anti-Ageing Beauty Tips
Kate Middleton
Everything Kate touches turns to gold. Not only do her everyday outfits sell out in seconds, her hairstyle is constantly coveted and that skin is fit for a queen (lucky!). So to give you an insight into her routine, the latest beauty revelation comes straight from her makeup artist Arabella Preston. “It’s all about the flannel,” she revealed to The Cut. “It’s quite necessary,” she explained. And we can understand why. It’s an effective (and luxurious) way to cleanse, while giving your face a gentle exfoliation as you go. Handy!
Jennifer Lopez
You may think taking off your makeup is just a bacteria/ hygiene thing that people harp on about… but it’s much more than that. Sleeping in your makeup can add years to your appearance, preventing the skin from breathing overnight and absorbing all of the damaging free radicals, dirt and dead skin build-up from the day, resulting in blocked pores and dull skin. Make like Jennifer Lopez and remove your makeup before you go to sleep. She admits it’s a mix of exercise, sleep, and good genes, too. Thanks for your honesty JLo.
Kendall Jenner
Due to her age, and you know, the fact that she is a Victoria’s Secret model, Kendall Jenner’s face is not the focus of her anti-ageing tip. Cast your eyes a little lower to the décolletage area for this one. The Zoe Report pointed out one of her trusted makeup artists, Mary Phillips, smooths the excess serum leftover from her eye mask on this area.
Julianne Moore
The actress is the epitome of ageing gracefully. How? She admits to Redbook, “sunscreen is my number-one thing. I've worn it every day since I was 23.” And for good reason. Regardless of the season, the sun’s rays- both UVA (responsible for ageing) and UVB (responsible for burning) are damaging your skin, even if you don’t see redness. Julianne's the perfect reminder that prevention is better than cure.
Khloe Kardashian
Touching on the latest beauty tool trend of derma rolling, The Zoe Report reveals Khloe wrote on her app about the Uplift Massage Beauty Roller from Nurse Jaime. "Not only does it lift and smooth, but it preps your skin to absorb products so you get the most out of them. This little gem is a lifesaver for jet-lagged, post-party or just plain meh skin. I call it my magic wand of beauty."
Rosie Huntington-Whiteley
The new mum was born with glowing skin, but even supermodels need a little help as they age. Rosie swears by an affordable beauty elixir from French brand Caudalie- of which she is also an ambassador- told Allure, “it tones and tightens, boosts radiance, sets makeup.” She also adds, “it’s refreshing and rejuvenating!” Sold. And we’ve tried it- spritz day, night and every hour in-between if you like- it’s refreshing, hydrating and the smell is uplifting too.
