Casey Donovan is on board to star as Australia's next Bachelorette and honestly I am here. for. it.
The former Australian Idol and I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! star has opened up about her desire to be on the hit dating series in a new interview with OK! Magazine. Casey told the publication that she would "love to" be the one handing out roses to Australian bachelors while Osher Günsberg does some mildly frustrating rose maths in the corner.
"People keep asking me when I’m going to be the next Bachelorette, and you know, we’ll see what happens," she told the publication. "I’d love to. But if Kris Smith did become the next Bachelor, I’d ask Channel 10 if I could be a contestant!"
"I’d love to meet someone. I’m almost 30. I’ve never been in a relationship except a fake one for six years," the star continued, referencing the heartbreaking experience of being catfished by a female friend who pretended to be her online boyfriend.
We think Casey would make the perfect Bachelorette! Not only would she be the first Indigenous Australian lead on the hit show - adding some much needed diversity to the series - she'd also be a breath of fresh air with her amazing singing talent and wicked sense of humour.
Plus, she's got a history of killing it on Reality TV, with wins on both I'm A Celebrity and Idol. Thanks to Idol she's also got a ~history~ with host Osher, who used to host the singing show when he was FKA Andrew G... so you know there would be some top quality banter between the two.
Basically, if Casey is on board, we're on board.
