Catherine Zeta-Jones and husband Michael Douglas made a rare appearance on the New York Fashion Week scene, but they had an extra +1: 15-year-old daughter Carys Zeta Douglas. The trio hit Town & Country’s 2018 New Modern Swans Celebration.
Times when the three of them hit the town publicly are few and far between, but there was something missing in all the hubbub. Just where was Carys's older brother, Dylan?
Turns out, he had more important places to be. Specifically, college, which he just started.
“He's my best friend, so, I mean, like, we're very, very close," Carys told Extra of Dylan, who is probably cramming for a quiz and shotgunning pizza right about now. "It was really difficult for me, but I'm so excited for him and I know he's going to have a great time in college so I couldn't be happier for him.”
“Carys was videoing herself crying, like, enjoying the whole experience like it was some audition or something," Zeta-Jones added. "It was very funny, but Carys said they are so incredibly close. I live vicariously through him. I never went to college; I was working and I kind of always wanted that life and that opportunity, that camaraderie and the love and joy of learning, and to see that happen for him — it's really exciting. [Carys is] right behind. She's already been thinking about college.”
Maybe next time Dylan can join the fam.
