Did we not just cover this? Seems that way, because just yesterday Katy Perry claimed she was not involved in the Taylor Swift Bad Blood drama, and now she's collaborating on a song with Taylor's very angry ex, Calvin Harris. How very *sips tea* interesting.
In an interview with EW, Katy used a LOT of words (197 to be exact) to reveal that she had nothing to say about the song that Taylor wrote about her. The song, Bad Blood, was reportedly written about the time Katy sabotaged Taylor's arena tour by hiring out all of her dancers before the concerts. You know, typical adult celebrity stuff.
"Honestly, when women come together and they decide to unite, this world is going to be a better place. Period end of story. But, let me say this: Everything has a reaction or a consequence so don’t forget about that, okay, honey. [Laughs] We got to keep it real, honey," Katy said in her new interview. "This record is not about anyone else!"
That brings us to today.
Calvin announced his fifth studio album, Funk Wav Bounces Vol. 1, and its famous guest artists, via social media on Tuesday. While several high-profile artists including Nicki Minaj, John Legend and Pharrell Williams were listed, fans on social media were quick to focus on Perry's involvement on the project.
Things didn't end to well for Taylor and Calvin, as he turned into the ultimate raging ex on Twitter when she began dating Tom Hiddleston. He also slammed the singer, because her rep took credit for her part on the song This Is What You Came For. Again with the incredibly interesting adult behaviour.
If the song is indeed about Taylor, we don't imagine it will paint her in too favorable a light. Who knows, though, it might be about ~summer~ or ~having fun in the sun~ or one of those other tune topics. We guess the world will find out on June 30th, when the album is released.
