Even Lara Worthington Is Behind The Return Of This '90s Accessory

Following Dior's autumn/winter 2019 show, during which every single model wore a bucket hat down the runway, the '90s accessory has been cemented as 2019's comeback item, popping up on fashion influencers, celebrities and stylish women everywhere over the past few months.

With the northern hemisphere enjoying summer, it's no surprise that bucket hats are in surplus on the beaches of Europe - even Lara Worthington gave her tick of approval to the trend while in Italy, albeit a Gucci itteration.

It's not perfect but it works, I listen to it, I look after it and I'm learning to be kinder to it. We seem to be sold the goal of loving our body constantly these days, but personally I'm not sure that level of confidence is totally achievable. I think for me it's more about acceptance. Accepting the bits you don't like and appreciating the bits you do, but mostly accepting you're not always going to like what you see in the mirror and that's okay. For me, the real goal on such days is honing that generous, kind inner voice rather than letting my inner bitch voice run riot telling me I look like something that lives under a bridge. It doesn't matter what size you are, I think most of us have moments when we can't help but obsess over what we perceive we're lacking. I'm learning it's not about eradicating those days but rather about managing them and guiding yourself through them with compassion and patience. I'm in awe of people who seem eternally confident and happy in their own skin; for me it's a work in progress and probably always will be but each time I unconsciously say something shitty to myself, I'm trying to remind myself to apologise, thank my legs for working, my arms for being strong(ish), book in a gym session (for my head more than my abs) and move on. 💪🏼
