In a heavenly reminder that celebrities experience the same daily struggles as we do, Blake Lively has opened up about how she manages to balance her daily routine while juggling the demands of her three daughters.
Watch below: This is how Ryan Reynolds knew Blake Lively was the one
The 32-year-old spoke to Vanity Fair about how she managed her home life while filming her latest movie, The Rhythm Section, and to be honest, we’re completely exhausted just thinking about how the actress manages it all!
"On an average day on set, I probably woke up at 5 a.m., but mostly because I was doing mama duty with my girls. Have breakfast with them, hang out with them, work out with them," she said.
"Cause I didn't want to wake up any earlier. I'm not Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson. I had to just get some sleep."
Speaking to the outlet about how she managed to incorporate daily workouts into her already jampacked schedule, Lively revealed that she regularly chooses to forgo common workouts such as spin class or a treadmill run, and instead includes her daughters into her fitness regime.
So I would actually wake up and work out with my girls," she explained.
"So I would sort of use them as weights. Instead of wearing a weight vest, I got to wear my children."
The evenings are just as crazy for the Gossip Girl alum, returning home from work at 9pm in time to put her daughters to bed – who the actress shared are complete night owls.
“They don't ever go to sleep, honestly. We gotta invent something,” she joked about her eldest children, James and Inez, being awake when she would return home from a day on set.
“My kids had, like, a pack-and-play—almost like a crib—and I would crawl in there and sing them to sleep, and usually I'd fall asleep in there. Almost every single night I'd fall asleep in there."
Thankfully, Lively’s husband, Ryan Reynold’s would often come to the rescue, waking the actress once the girls were fast asleep.
"And then my husband would usually come in and be like, 'Hey, you're safe now. You can come to bed.'"
A mum's gotta do what she has to do!
