Whether you like it or not, fashion week can influence a lot about the way you present yourself. Just like Miranda Priestly famously explained, the things we see on the runway eventually filter down to the everyday person — whether they know it or not. So it only makes sense that what we’re seeing on the runway today, we’ll all be wearing next season. And if autumn/winter ‘19/’20 is anything to go by, that means bleached brows, fairy-dust shadows and… mohawks?
Designers at Paris fashion week are notorious for their influence: from making or breaking a hair trend to cementing a colour (hello, pink!), so it pays to watch the runways closely. This season, make-up artists played with colour, texture and form, bringing a playfulness to models that we’d missed in London and Milan. From bold lipsticks to fun takes on traditional eyeliners, there was plenty to see (and copy!). Below, we’ve rounded up the fun and fabulous beauty looks worth noting — and yes, we’ll excuse you for not embracing the Margiela mohawk.
