After the whirlwind romance and proposal on The Bachelor in Paradise, Tara Pavlovic, 24, and Sam Cochrane, 31, called off their engagement after just a few months together.
The pair fell in love and got engaged after just four weeks, meeting on the reality dating show earlier this year.
Sam took to Instagram to reveal that he will be auctioning off the diamond ring he used to pop the question to Tara on the show's finale. The profits from the auction are to go to men’s mental health charity, “it’s time to turn this into something positive,” he revealed with a long heartfelt post on the struggles behind the break up and on his plans to move on.
“It’s time to move on and having the beauty sit in a box, when it could be doing good for others in need. This is really important to me,” he said.
While the couple are yet to give reasons as to why they split, Sam’s mother, Rosie Wynter appears to have made a directed swing at Tara on Instagram through her post on heartbreak and betrayal, which she tagged her son, Sam in last week, “Life and people can be cruel. Those you love can betray you.”
