Bachelor In Paradise's Blake Coleman and Mack Reid are the latest hopefuls to be sent packing, after neither one received a rose from their love interests Laurina Fleure and Leah Costa–ending their time in Fiji after just a few short weeks.
InStyle Australia caught up with the Bachie guys and chatted all things; rose ceremonies, regrets and if Jarrod's face is actually getting redder by the day...
What did you take away from your time on the show?
Mack: "I would have been more in-check with my emotions. I’m pretty emotionally expressive–I put my heart on the line, put it on a platter. A little regret of mine is probably giving my rose to Ali instead of Leah."
How much thought goes into who you give your rose to each week?
Mack: "I put quite a lot of thought into it; I was very heavily influenced though I must admit. I had quite a few people telling me to chose Ali and it was confirmed in my mind that night actually, I did get all the blessings from all the guys prior to the rose ceremony.
I sort of kick myself because I think Leah and I were going somewhere, contrary to what was being portrayed on screen."
Blake: "For me I knew that I wanted and I wanted Laurina at the start, when I know who I want that’s all I have to decide on."
Blake, I can't skip past this without asking you about the Laurina name gaffe, what went through your mind when you said the wrong name?
Blake: Nothing, I was so sick. At the rose ceremony I almost passed out so when they called me up to say Laurina’s name, I just wasn’t there at all but everyone else had a laugh and thought it was pretty damn funny.
Blake, on Instagram you said there were a few things that didn’t make it to air, your apology to Jarrod and the ‘good times’ with Megan. Tell us more about your connection?
Blake: "Me and Megan got pretty tight and spoke about a lot of things that have happened to both of us and we just had a really good time together. I told her things I have never told anyone before, it's try to explain that kind of feeling."
Have you been in touch with Megan since the show?
Blake: "Yeah we're good mates now, our friendship is still there which is cool."
Mack, are you still in touch with Ali?
Mack: "I'd like to say yes, but no unfortunately not. In saying that, she did comment on a post I put up not too long ago. I would have like to stay in contact with her but it's hard–I really gave it my all with Ali."
