But even then, asking someone during your *second* date to write a 10-year plan together is JUST. TOO. MUCH.
On a recent one-on-one date with Helena Sauzier, bachie Matt Agnew dialled up the pressure to (almost) breaking point when he asked the 25-year-old to map out key milestones for their next 10 years together, including marriage and kids.
Talk about throwing a girl in the deep end.
Understandably, Helena freaked out, and the Internet has her back.
“While I'm still dating 7 other girls let's try and see where we'll be in 10 years time,” said someone on Twitter.
“This is creepy as sh*t. Hello we barely know each other but please commit to a 10-yr relationship timeline,” another wrote.
“ABORT MISSION, BACHIE.”
Matt admitted that it was a lot to ask, saying, “10 years is a pretty long time so it can be a bit frightening making those kind of plans and commitments with someone,” adding, “But I can see Helena in my life so I'm hoping she can see a future together too.”
Helena ended up needing to “take a moment”, saying, “It's a little bit scary to be honest. It's a lot to commit to one person and be like this is it we are doing this.”
We are 100% on your side Helena.
