If you’re someone who gets sucked into the wormhole that is reality television, then you’re far from alone. Matchmaking shows such as The Bachelor, The Bachelorette, and Married At First Sight has been the source of our guilty pleasures, bringing together some of the most beloved couples in the history of reality television (ahem, Anna and Tim). Nonetheless, given the abysmal success rate of modern-day reality romance programs, the prospect of finding long-lasting love on television can be quite disheartening for most. But it isn't all fauxmance and failure — and these couples are living proof. Below, all the couples who captured our hearts on national television and, better yet, are still going strong.
1. Snezana Markoski and Sam Wood
'The Bachelor' Season Three (2015)
When personal trainer Sam Wood chose Snezana Markoski on the finale of The Bachelor, it was only the beginning of a heartfelt love story. Fast forward four years later and their relationship has only continued to blossom. The pair are currently parents of two and are expecting their second child together. Markoski and Wood tied the knot at the end of 2018.
2. Laura Byrne and Matthew Johnson
'The Bachelor' Season Five (2017)
We all fell in love with Matty J on the second season of The Bachelorette but unfortunately for him, Georgia Love didn't fall quite so hard. Matty had his second shot at love when he met his leading lady Laura Byrne on the fifth season of The Bachelor. The couple is now awaiting the arrival of their first child and have recently announced their engagement.
3. Anna Heinrich and Tim Robards
'The Bachelor' Season One (2013)
Tim and Anna's love story began on the Australian debut season of The Bachelor in 2013 and they certainly set the bar high! After four years of being together, the couple announced their engagement in May 2017 and married in a swoon-worthy ceremony in Italy. Robards and Heinrich are reality TV shows first couple to walk down the aisle.
4. Georgia Love and Lee Elliot
'The Bachelorette' Season Two (2016)
Georgia Love fell head over heels for Lee Elliot on the second season of the Australian Bachelorette and hasn't looked back ever since. It's been roughly 18 months since the 29-year-old journalist, and the 36-year-old tradesman went public with their relationship and the pair has shown no signs of slowing down. Do we hear wedding bells?
5. Noni Janur and Samuel Johnston
Although they didn't meet on the set of The Bachelor, bacon-loving Noni Janur and bad boy Samuel Johnston have been going strong for more than two years and are more in love than ever! Unlike other Bachie couples, Noni and Sam have kept their romance under wraps and couldn't be happy nevertheless. The couple now divides their time between Sydney and Los Angeles, where Janur and Johnston are based respectively.
6. Keira Maguire and Jarrod Woodgate
'Bachelor In Paradise' Season One (2018)
Keira and Jarrod got their second shot at love on the first season of the Bachelor In Paradise. Despite a brief split last year, the fan-favourite couple are back together again and are more loved up than ever in 2019.
7. Ali Oetjen and Taite Radley
'The Bachelorette' Season 4 (2018)
We can all breathe a sigh of relief because former Bachelorette Ali Oetjen is still in love and going strong with her beau Taite Radley. The couple met on Ali's season of The Bachelorette last year and we couldn't be happy for them both.
