Nobody makes us feel all the feelings more than Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis. The impossibly sweet and happy couple first met on the set of their hit series That 70s Show, which gives us rare insight to their chemisty and team dynamic... even if they were playing two totally psycho characters.
Mila played highly-strung Jackie Burkhart, while Ashton played airhead Michael Kelso (two characters you can currently revisit on Netflix, btw). Mila has previously spoken about how Ashton was her very first kiss on the show, though the details of the encounter have been spoken of recently by her husband.
At the time, Ashton was 19 years old and he viewed 14 year old Mila as a little sister.
“I did her chemistry homework for her,” the actor said on The Howard Stern Show radio program on Wednesday. “I think I was her first kiss on the show. We have our first kiss like memorialised on the TV show.”
“It was really weird. I was like, ‘Isn’t this illegal?’ It was really awkward,” he said and exclaimed, “She was 14! She was like my little sister.”
Ashton went on to reveal that his future-wife actually had a *slight* crush on him at the time.
“She has a journal, like a diary of when she was a kid that she wrote … she thought I was cute,” Kutcher said. “At first I think she thought that I was good looking. Shortly thereafter, I was just annoying to her because I was like a big brother.”
The pair shared their second kiss after reconnecting at a party years later, after Ashton had split from his wife of six years Demi Moore, and Mila had split from her boyfriend of seven years Macaulay Culkin.
“I was smoking cigarettes at the time and I was still a smoker and she had quit smoking and she wanted me to like shotgun cigarette smoke so she could breathe it in. And I was like, ‘Well alright.’ And so I started doing this and gradually through the night, it got closer and closer and closer,” he said of their flirtations. “I think it was pretty mutual — it was kind of obvious that things were happening.”
He went on to reveal that the pair became friends with benefits, before officially beginning to date in 2012.
“She’s like, ‘You’re not ready to be in a relationship’ and I’m like, ‘I”m not ready to be a in a relationship,’ ” he admitted. “It was funny because I’d just done this movie called No Strings Attached and she just did a movie called Friends with Benefits and we legitimately lived out our movies, which was virtually the same movie.
