Details are still emerging from the tragic attack on Ariana Grande's Manchester show on Monday, but from the devastating reports have come several stories of bravery and aid. One such report involves Ariana's own mother, Joan Grande, who ushered children to safety following the explostion.
As first reported by TMZ, Joan was reportedly sitting in the front row at the concert before the explosion occurred, with witnesses at the venue reporting that the mother-of-two took several scared concertgoers backstage and waited with them until they were able to exit safely.
“We’re told she and members of Ariana’s security took the fans backstage and waited with them until they were able to safely exit the arena,” TMZ wrote.
Monday night’s attack at has left 22 people dead, with nearly 60 others injured and many still missing. Following the incident, which U.K. authorities are treating as a terrorist act, Ariana tweeted that she felt “broken” by what had occurred after the show.
