Ariana Grande decided to skip this years Grammys after butting heads with producers over her performance at the event, but that doesn't mean her pre-planned red carpet look went to waste.
Since the Thank U, Next singer only pulled out days before the ceremony, she already had a spectacular gown made for the occasion. Deciding the show-stopping Zac Posen design shouldn't go to waste, Arian took to her Instagram to share several photos of the gown she would have worn. Now, fans are convinced the satin ball gown was a tribute to rapper Mac Miller.

The dress made Ariana look like a real-life Cinderella, which just happens to be the name of a song the late rapper wrote about her.
“Daddy told you, better bring your ass home/ Cinderella better get your ass home” Miller raps on the track, and later, “Ooh Cinderella don’t you run out of time/ It feels like you’ve been taking all day/ Wherever you came from, wherever you going/ I promise I’m not far behind.”
Ariana and Mac were together for more than two years and had been broken up less than six months when he died of an accidental drug overdose at the age of 26 in September 2018.
