If there's one thing that stands out from Anna Heinrich's flawless Instagram feed - aside from her vibrant style and loved-up couple shots with fiancé Tim Robards - it's her perfect, glowing skin.
The Bachelor alum has recently announced a partnership with organic and natural Australian beauty brand, Blessed by Nature, so now more than ever we're dying to know about her skincare and beauty routine.
We sat down with the stunning star to talk all things skincare, make-up and wedding prep.
InStyle: Why are you excited to partner with Blessed by Nature?
Anna Heinrich: The major draw-card was that it was natural and organic. I’m not someone who likes to put lots of things on my skin, so I’m very careful about what I do with it, because I’ve got quite sensitive skin. So the fact that it was organic was probably the biggest draw-card. It was a range I could use fully, so I was comfortable using each and every product because it was natural.
IN: Do you have a favourite Blessed by Nature product?
AH: I think now that I’ve used them all and incorporated them all [my favourite] would be the Daily Renewal Cream, the antioxidant one. There’s one for day and night. It helps reduce fine lines and wrinkles, and it leaves your skin feeling really hydrated and amazing.
IN: What is your daily skincare routine?
AH: In the morning I use a cleanser, the Deep Cream Cleanser ($15; at priceline.com.au), and the Antioxidant Daily Renewal Cream ($15; at priceline.com.au). I don’t do a huge amount throughout the day. For me, throughout the day it’s all about drinking as much water as possible and staying hydrated. Then before I go to bed I use the Micellar Pure Cleansing Water ($12; at priceline.com.au) to take my make-up off, and then I use the cleanser again, and the Antioxidant Night Restoring Cream ($15; at priceline.com.au).
IN: Has that routine changed as you prepare for your upcoming wedding?
AH: I like to keep things simple, and my number one tip when it comes to anyone's wedding or big event is to not change things up too much. I did some treatments a couple of months ago, but now it’s about focusing on continuing my regular routine and just using really good products on your skin. Watching my food and staying hydrated is important as well.
It’s about doing what works for you. And for me, obviously my wedding is so important but so is my skin, and I just want it looking fresh and healthy every day. I think it’s knowing what’s right for you and having a regular routine rather than changing things up and trying too many different things.
IN: Our diets have a huge impact on our skin, is there any food you've had to cut out?
AH: Alcohol! So last weekend (her hen's party) probably wasn’t great for my skin! But I always feel the effect of alcohol like wine and champagne on my skin. So for me drinking a lot of water is a huge benefit. Also, I’m trying not to eat a lot of chocolate at the moment. I didn’t eat it for a couple of months and now I’m trying to do that again. As soon as I eat it I see the effect on my skin.
IN: You have a 'natural' approach to make-up, what are your go-to products?
AH: My favourite ‘product’ is my eyelash extensions; I feel instantly glamorous when I get up in the morning. It’s a lot of maintenance, though, I’ve had them since I was about 18 and I go every four weeks to get in-fills.
I also use the Oral-B 3D White Whitestrips ($30; at priceline.com.au), before any event I just put them on for an hour. And for a couple of years now I’ve been using the Too Faced Born This Way Foundation ($57; at mecca.com.au). Like my skincare routine, I never overdo it because I think less is always more. I like make-up and I wear make-up every day, but it’s always more on the natural side.
