In December last year Amanda's lawyer told Page Six that she was finishing up fashion school and hoping to find work again in Hollywood.
“Amanda is looking forward to ringing in the new year with her close friends this year,” they said. “In 2018, she looks forward to completing fashion school and dipping her toe back into acting. She has had several offers but is waiting for the right one to come along for a comeback.”
Amanda landed major roles in blockbuster films such as She's The Man and Easy A in the noughties, after catching her break with Nickelodeon as child star in the 90s. However, the star suffered from personal mental health issues in recent years, which led to a series of criminal incidents including two hit and run charges in 2012 and two DUI arrests, along with a very public breakdown in 2013.
This led to the actress taking an indefinite hiatus, though after seeking treatment and spending time studying fashion design at the Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising, it seems she's doing much better.
We're happy to see Amanda is doing so well!
